Guelph Wins Nations Cup for Canada
With Team Canada needing a win to clinch the 12 team Nations Cup in the final game of the tournament, the Guelph Minor Atoms defeated the Lakeland Hawks 2-1 in a shootout. In front of a packed arena of participants waiting to see which country would win after the completion of this game, Guelph scored on their final shootout attempt to wrap up the tournament for Team Canada quieting the chants of "USA, USA."
