The Peewee AE Gryphons won the Doug Thompson Memorial Tournament in Milton over the weekend with a thrilling 1-0 win in overtime in the final game.

Congratulations to everyone that completed Coach Jim's Book Club Challenge!!!  Collectively, the team read over 197 books with the tally continuing to increase. Way to go boys-Keep Reading! Thank you Coach Jim!!

Our PeeWee AE team persevered through an uphill battle to secure their spot in the Tri-County Championship Series. After losing game one, the team battled back from a 3-1 deficit to tie it up 4-4, with only 26 seconds left on the clock, Eventually losing game two in OT, game 3 was another tough battle @ Ancaster. Congratulations to our Tri-County Finalists on an excellent season!  Next up...The Doug Thomson Memorial Tournament...Go Gryphs Go!

The PeeWee AE team collected and donated soccer balls for one of our families to take to Nicaragua on a mission trip this past December.  The soccer balls were a huge hit, and brought smiles to many little faces! The soccer balls were donated to: *individual children in the community *the local orphanage *the local community centre where PAN Missions runs a sports program Gracias Gryphs!

One of our players and his family are going to Nicaragua over Christmas break.  Our team decided that this year instead of exchanging gifts, each player would purchase a soccer ball  for the Schnurr family to take with them on their mission. We can wait to see pictures of the smiling faces of the little girls and boys!
