Minor Atom AAA Gryphs Battle in Ottawa
Over the holiday break the minor atom AAA Gryphons participated in the Bell Capital Cup in our nation's capital. The boys played 4 good games and managed to tie the Nepean Raiders 4-4 and compete hard against the Kanata Blazers, Central Ontario Wolves, and the Gloucester Rangers. Excellent teamwork and comradery was displayed and the boys had a lot of fun trading team pins with several other teams in the tournament. The team also attended the Ottawa Senators team skills competition at the Canadian Tire Centre which got the boys close to NHL players.
Additionally, 3 of the Gryphs players were selected to play in the Bell Capital Cup minor atom AAA all-star game which highlighted some amazing and talented 9 year olds from North America! Kurtis Abbey (G), Sam Black (F) and Vincent Piccone (D) represented the Guelph Gryphons in this exhibition game and competed extremely well.
