This afternoon the Minor Midget Guelph Jr Gryphons AAA team will be playing the London Jr Knights in one of the four Wild Card games. The Gryphons earned their way to the Wild Card game by playing in the five team OMHA Championship in Whitby March 1-3, 2019. Game time today is at 1:00 PM at Scotiabank Pond Rink 1. The 2003's have earned their 3rd straight appearance to the AAA OMHA Championships. Yesterday the team clinched their spot in the 5 team championship with a game 6 of the series, 8-1 win against the Niagara North Stars. The OMHA championship weekend begins this Friday in Whitby. All games are played at the Iroquois Sports Centre. Our team recently played in the OHL Battle of the Border weekend which was held in Windsor at the Windsor Family Credit Union-WFCU centre. This is the home of the Jr. A Windsor Spitfires. The OHL put on a great weekend for players and parents. Information seminar, player tickets to watch our Storm play the Spitfires and a tour of Windsor's dressing room. Very competitive weekend playing against US teams a year older. It was a great experience and opportunity for our team.

There is a player and parent meeting, Tuesday, May 1st at 7:30 PM. The meeting will be held at the University of Guelph in the new portion of the building on the 3rd floor-Room 3213. Please remember to either email or bring a completed copy of the Player Medical Forms that were provided. Team Jersey Fitting will follow the meeting at 8:45 PM.
