Minor PeeWee, 2019, U12 (Guelph Minor Hockey Association)

The Minor PeeWee AE squad faced their toughest opponents of the year in the OMHA Semi-Finals, the Tri-County leaders Milton White. Not only had Milton White dominated league play, losing only 3 times all season, Guelph had knocked Milton out of the OMHA playoffs each of the past two years, and they were looking to return the favour.

Wednesday night the Minior PeeWee AE's took to the ice in game three of the OMHA quarterfinals against Brampton. A win would put the the boys into the semi-finals.

The boys returned to the ice on Saturday morning looking to take a 2-0 stranglehold lead in their OMHA Quarter Final series against the Brampton 45s. Going in the game the message to the team was simple, keep playing the same defense first system that has brought so much success over the past week, including in game 1 of the series on Wednesday night vs Brampton.

After an exhausting stretch of 4 games in 4 days, to qualify for the OMHA quarter-finals,  the mighty Gryphons returned to the ice on Wednesday night after a 3 day break, to face the Brampton 45s in game 1 of the quarter-final round. This series will be a first to 6 points, with 2 points coming for a win and 1 for a tie.

The past two weeks were a roller coaster for the Junior Gryphon's as they looked to close out their double round-robin group action in the OMHA play-ins. After running their record to a perfect 4-0 in their first four games of play-in's - and including league and tournament play had gone on an incredible unbeaten streak of 17 games - the young Gryphons crashed to earth.

This past week the Minor PeeWee Junior Gyphon AE squad had two more games in their round-robin OMHA play-ins.
