The Guelph Gryphons Minor Bantam AE team advanced to the Tri-County finals by defeating the Halton Hills Thunder 1-0 on Wednesday night. Guelph and Burlington were tied for 1st place in the division going into tonight's games. It was a must win for both teams.  Burlington faced the Oakville Rangers and lost a hard fought battle 2-1 giving Guelph the outright division title. Although the other division still has games to play, it appears the Orangeville Flyers will advance to face Guelph in the Tri-County finals. The Guelph Minor Bantam AE Jr. Gryphons Tour the University of Notre Dame. While attending a tournament in South Bend Indiana, the Guelph Jr. Gryphons toured the University of Notre Dame.

The Guelph Junior Gryphons Minor Bantam AE returned from South Bend after finishing with a 2-1-1 record, losing in the semi-finals 2-0 to the Riverside Rangers from Windsor Ontario.

The Minor Bantam AE team is very excited to be heading to South Bend Indiana to play in their 2nd scheduled tournament this year. Coupled with the team's plans to enjoy the hockey atmosphere at the Notre Dame University, they are excited to know that Head Coach of the University Guelph Gryphons hockey team, Shawn Camp, is also taking his team to Notre Dame to play an exhibition game against the Fighting Irish and former head coach of the Guelph Storm, Jeff Jackson.
