With a 5-1-0 record in play downs, the Minor Atom A Gryphons are heading to the Tri-County playoffs! The outstanding teamwork and goal-tending over the past 6 games has shown that these players are determined to go all the way.  Players and coaches be proud of where you are and know YOU'VE GOT THIS! Go Gryphons! #determinationdisciplinedesire 

Excitement was high at the old Centennial barn as the Gryphons faced the Eagles in a do or die match-up. The determination was palpable with every move the Gryphons made. Madden played outstanding in net! We had D-men Duffy, Kranendonk and Van Dam physically throwing themselves in front of the puck as well as Stafford, Peteranac and Southern owning their corners and boards. Forwards Bunnaman, Boon, Dubuc & Lodder were back-checking like champs breaking up Eagle plays and Georges & Fletcher battling every chance they got. Scoring started in the 1st when Smith's smooth pass landed on the stick ...

The season has ended on the HWY 124 rivalry as the Gryphons beat the Shamrocks Saturday. Hespeler scored 1st followed quickly by Lodder answering back unassisted. The same line again tied the game at 2 when Georges found the back of the net (Fetcher, Lodder). Things got a bit feisty and the Gryphons found themselves on a power play. Lodder took full advantage sniping a shorty. Just over a minute later Redford found a gap and capitalized (Dubuc). And finally, shortly into the 3rd, Boon (Dubuc) scored a beauty. 

The Gryphons were ON last night during their road trip to Burlington! Madden had a monster showing in net worthy of the cheers that greeted him in the lobby after the game! His D-men were golden in their support. Scoring for the Gryphons started a little after a minute into the game when Smith fed a lovely pass to Robertson who buried it. Moving late into the 2nd we saw Southern rush the puck (from Kranendonk, Dubuc) & beat the goalie to tie it at 2. After a scoreless 1st, Lodder (Georges,Boon) scored just 19 sec into the 2nd. Less than a minute later Redford (Smith) buried one in the back of the net. Gryphons used a 5 on 3 advantage with Bunnaman scoring unassisted followed by Dubuc firing one in (Boon,Bunnaman). D-men Southern & Kranendonk joined in the offensive rush taking hard shots while Van Dam, Stafford, Peteranac & Duffy bodily blocked shots & bodies from entering their zone. 1/2 way into the 3rd Bunnaman won his face off and scored from the dot.
