PeeWee, 2017-2018, U12 (Guelph Minor Hockey Association)

On Saturday night the boys hit the ice looking to capture their 1st Tri-County Championship.  Game 6 winner take all went into OT for 4th time in 6 games.  We could not be prouder of the effort and determination the boys displayed throughout the series.  Unfortunately, Ancaster scored a terrific goal with 6 minutes to go in the first overtime to capture the series and repeat as Tri County Champions.

After 3 periods and a 10 minute overtime.  PeeWee AE ended game 5 in a 3 - 3 tie agianst Ancaster Avalanche on Tuesday night, forcing a deciding game 6 on home ice. Both teams put forth incredible efforts in a back and forth game.  With 2:30 to go in the 3rd period Ancaster took the lead.  Guelph was not ready to give up, show what determination and confidence playing as team scored some 40 seconds later to make 3 -3. Saturday March 31 - Time and Location TBD Come on out on out and support us in our drive for the Tri-County Championship. Let's bring it home boys.

PeeWee AE opened the Tri County Championship series with a big OT come from behind win.  The team got down 2-0 in the game, before turning the tides with a goal in the second period, followed by a great power play goal to tie the game.  The game went back and forth with both teams having terrific scoring opportunities.  The mindset of getting pucks to the net and looking for rebounds finally paid dividends in OT giving the team a game 1 win.  Tonight's victory not only snapped a string of unsuccessful OT efforts, it demostrated how to win as a team and getting contributions from 17 ...

After a hard fought battle on Sunday night at the West End arena, the PeeWee AE team punch their ticket for a chance at redemption with a 2 -1 win over the Caledon Hawks.  The team has been on a tear since December 1st going 18 - 5 - 2.  The hard work climbing to the top of mountain to reach their goal of winning the Tri-County is paying dividends as they are peaking at the right time.
