Bantam, 2017-2018, U12 (Guelph Minor Hockey Association)

The Bantam AE team are OMHA Champs! Our boys finished a great OMHA run by beating the Barrie Colts 3 games to 2 in the finals! It was a hard fought, physical series that saw 2 of the 5 games needing overtime to settle. In the end, our players prevailed with a 3 -1 win in game 5 at the Sleeman Centre. We would like to thank our: AP's, parents, family and fans who came out to cheer us on during their playoff run, it was awesome to see so many people get behind the team! 

The Bantam AE team came out firing, scoring on their first shot on goal 45 seconds into the game. After their first goal they never looked back - winning the game 4 - 0 and taking the semi-final series 3 games to none. Over coming many injuries and playing short-handed every game, the team banded together and ran the table scoring 13 while only giving up 1 goal in the 3 games. Good luck in the FINALS!!!

Bantam AE Gryphons clinched their spot in the OMHA semi finals tonight with a 5-0 win @ Halton. The team battled through the series with a shorthanded bench, scoring 12 goals and allowing only 2 goals against in 4 games. Well done Gryphons!

Update-Our 18th Man project turns into the 20th Man Project!   With the extra money that was raised and sent to the charity, the team sponsored two more kids who will also now get life changing surgery! In December, the Bantam Gryphons decided to roster an 18th Man, David. The team raised funds to cover David's corrective surgery and much more! Together, the Bantam AE team raised $2790!   WTG Gryphs!  Project give back was a huge success!  Thank you to everyone who helped support this worthwhile cause. www.one4anotherintl.ca  

Bantam AE boys kick off 2018 as International Silver Stick Champions! The Gryphons were invited to the International Silver Stick Final Tournament hosted by the Pelham Panthers. The team was invited to Pelham after losing to the Orangeville Flyers AE1 in the qualifier tournament, in Chatham. 

The Bantam AE Gryphons take home Gold in the Bantam A division at the Pittsburgh Fall Classic this weekend! The Gryphons were undefeated and battled hard all weekend to secure 3 shutouts. The Championship game was a hard, tough, physical game vs. a team from North Carolina.  The boys played hard, fast Canadian hockey to secure the win! Congratulations Gryphons!
