Minor PeeWee, 2019, U11 (Guelph Minor Hockey Association)

The Gryphons were in fine form this weekend in Caledon. Despite a massive goalie with a sweet glove, the boys found the back of the net 5 times finishing the game up 5-1. Litchfield played well and all Gryphons were on their game.  Points: Dixon (McCoubrey), Bunnaman (Boon,Robertson), Robertson (Boon), Tyas (Redford,Kranendonk), Dixon (Stone).  PIMs: none.    

The Gryphons latest match-up with CW proved to be another game of volleying goals. Less penalties and more shots helped the Gryphons take the lead until the last few minutes when CW came back with two quick ones. Final 4-3. Points: Boon (Bunnaman), Lodder, Stone (Lodder,Dixon) PIMs: Redford (HKG), Dixon (HC 4 min)

No rest for the wicked-the gold medal winners played the following 2 nights after the Buffalo tournament. Game 1 against Woolwich started out promising but ended in a 6-4 loss. Lambert kept things close with awesome saves. Points: Tyas (Dubuc), Robertson (Kranendonk,Boon), Dixon (Stone,Bendo), Bunnaman (Robertson,Boon). No PIMs. Game 2 was a snowy trip to Dundas and ended with better results-a 5-1 win. Rising to the challenge of a AA loop, the Guelph Gryphons Minor PeeWee A team went undefeated in 5 games with 29 goals for and only 1 goal against. The Gryphons faced the Willowdale Blackhawks in the final, coming away with the 3-1 win and 17 gold medals. The boys represented Guelph well with good sportsmanship and respect on and off the ice. Amazing job, Gryphons!
