Gryphons Earn A Split In Buffalo
The Gryphons traveled South of the border for a double header against the Buffalo Regals. In the first game the Regals came out hard, and although the Gryphons outshot them heavily, the Regals were able to hold on to a 3-2 victory handing the Gryphons their first league loss in 4 games. Hayden Dunford made some big saves to give the Gryphons a chance to tie the game late. Andrew Britton and Jack Harper scored for Guelph, and Harper hit the post in the final minute in a game the Gryphons were all around the net and just couldn't get the tying goal.

With only a couple of hours in between games the Gryphons responded with a terrific effort in the second game of the day. Showing great focus and resiliency, the boys came out flying and Ryan Goetz banged in a loose puck on the powerplay to give the team an early 1-0 lead. This was all the scoring Chris Linton would need as he was perfect in net earning the shutout. Captain Joe Marra would add 2nd, and 3rd period goals to give the Gryphons some breathing room. Although the team had their sights set on a 4 point day, they showed tremendous team toughness and determination in bouncing back for a tough road win.

The Gryphons will look to stay in the win column Monday night when they host the Burlington Eagles at the West End Recreation Centre. Go Gryphs!!!
