Gryphons Earn Hard Road Point Before Holiday Break
The Gryphons played back to back games heading into the Christmas break. On the heels of a busy December schedule, the Gryphons dropped a 3-1 decision to the visiting Hamilton Bulldogs. Jakson Kirk scored on the powerplay in the game but the Gryphons were snake bitten around the net and could not convert any more of their several scoring chances.

The next night the Gryphons travelled to St. Catherines to play Niagara North. After falling behind 2-1, the Gryphons came out strong in the 3rd period. After killing a penalty off, Andrew Britton tied the game on the Gryphons lone powerplay of the game. Then Ryan Goetz converted a Jack Harper pass to give the boys a lead. Unfortunately the home team tied the game in the final seconds. While it was a disappointing finish it was a big point in a tough road game. Jack Harper also had the first goal of the game for the Gryphons.

The Gryphons will look to start 2017 off on the right foot hosting the Southern Tier Admirals on January 2nd.
