BIG Win for the Jr. Gryphons!!!
The Tyke B Jr. Gryphons won BIG today against the Halton Hills Thunder winning 6-1.
With a 6-1 win today the Gryphons were victorious against the Halton Hills Thunder! It was an exciting game to watch while the Gryphons displayed great power and energy during each period.
In the first period goals were scored by Andrew Brown and Colin Chate with assists by Tyler Kelly and Avery Smith. The Gryphons continued their scoring momentum with goals scored in the second period by Avery Smith and Nicholas Clayton with assists by Cole Gibson, Nash Willsie and Colin Chate.
In the third period the Gryphons kept the pace going with goals scored by Tyler Kelly and again by Colin Chate with assists by Jake Annis and Austyn Lamorea. Great game play all around by the Jr. Gryphons but special shout out goes to our exceptional defensemen; Johnathan Berthiaume, Banin Howden, Ayden Lamorea, Royce Lin, Aiden Wamboldt and Parker White that were able to keep the Thunder at a distance resulting in only allowing the opposition to score one goal! It was the superb goaltending by Anderson Mau and Trenton Goode that lead the team to victory!!!
On Saturday, the Tyke B Jr. Gryphons played the current number one team the Woolwich Wildcats losing 6-2. Despite the loss, the Gryphons gave a good fight. In the second period the first Gryphon goal was scored by Austyn Lamorea off a great rebound from Colin Chate. Despite a penalty in the third period, the Gryphons were able to score a short handed goal by Tyler Kelly off an exciting breakaway. The Gryphons have shown the winning Wildcats that they are a team ready to win when they face them again !!!
