The Tyke B Jr. Gryphons are the "Comeback Kids"!!!
Today the Tyke B Gryphons played the Brampton 45's tieing up the game late in the third period.
Despite terrible ice conditions both the Guelph Gryphons and the Brampton 45's played hard to tie the game 2-2.
In the first period the Brampton 45's had a lucky goal when the puck was shot off a Gryphon skate to go in for the first goal of the game. The Gryphon defense worked hard to keep the puck out of their end resulting in a number of breakaway opportunities.
It was a back-and-forth battle in the second period with a number of shots on net for both teams. Near the end of the second, the Brampton 45's fought for the puck in front of the Gryphon's net scoring and leading 2-0 going into the third.
It was in the third period when the Gryphons "The Comeback Kids" took control to score their first goal by Andrew Brown assisted by Jacob Annis. With less then 2 minutes left in the third period, Tyler Kelly scored the tieing goal assisted by Parker White.
It was superb goaltending by both Gryphon goalies Anderson Mau and Trenton Goode that made a number of great saves!
The team is pumped to play their next game against the Halton Hills Thunder this Sunday @ 12:00pm in Acton.
