Atom AAA Gryphs "Pass it Forward"
On Saturday December 16, 2017 the atom AAA Gryphons provided a donation of $500 to
the Guelph Wellington chapter of the Children's Foundation and 'Free to Play',
a special organization that provides financial assistance to children in need
so that they can participate in sports, arts and camps. The money raised for
the donation was earned through the boy's bottle drive that took place earlier
in the season!
This charitable donation was part of the team's "Pass it Forward" campaign which also saw the boys drop-off toy donations on Saturday in support of Emma's Toy Drive. Each of players donated $10 to the toy drive by pledging 'good deeds' throughout the month of December. The boys then grouped their money together, selected, and purchased the toys they wanted to donate. The team matched each of the boy's donations earned via gift cards that were also donated to Emma's Toy Drive.
