Minor Atom A Participate in the Guelph Power Play Tournament
The scores were all over the map in the 5 games played by the Minor Atom A team. By the end of day 2 the team was 2-1-1, putting them in the 4th place slot. The boys moved on to the semi-finals to face the 1st place Welland Tigers. Ultimately the Gryphons were defeated 3-1 but the compliments from Welland parents on what a challenge these boys were for their team proved that their last appearance in the tourney was a great one. Special mention to goalies Madden and Panchuk who stood on their heads defending their team, especially in the last two games where we saw Madden earn a shut out and Panchuk on FIRE!
