After a 20 month layoff, the U15 AA Gryphons returned to tournament action on November 12th as they competed in the Waterloo Memorial Tournament.
Guelph finished with a 1-2-1 record, leaving them with a 5th place finish and falling a point short of advancing to playoff action.
Guelph started strong on Friday, opening with a 1-1 tie against the Waterloo Wolves, followed by a 7-2 defeat of the Burlington Eagles Blue. Saturday action was not so kind to Guelph has they suffered a 5-2 loss to Burlington Eagles Gold in the morning and were eliminated by a 5-2 loss to the Stratford Warriors on Saturday afternoon. Gold went on to defeat Stratford in the Finals on Sunday afternoon.
Guelph returns to league action this Wednesday when they travel to Oakville to take on Oakville Rangers Red.
