The Tyke A Gryphons took one on the chin last
Saturday in St. Catherine’s as they fell to the Garden City Falcons 8 – 1.
Sawyer S provided the Gryphon goal in the second period of a game that was dominated by the Falcons.
On Sunday, the Gryphons turned in an excellent performance against the Niagara Falls Flyers and earned a 0 – 0 tie. The game was an extremely tight-checking affair that featured many strong efforts and great plays. Lucas S and Alex C demonstrated great team play with their passing while the newly formed defensive pairing of Nate M and Evan P were solid. Jamie N and Greg F continue to be a defensive force while Auguste T and Ryan M were fantastic on the backcheck. Finn P and Tyson MB were excellent in goal, and combined for the shut out.
The Gryphons are now 4 – 2 – 2 and tied for second in the crowded Tyke 1 loop. Guelph’s Tyke A Gryphons hit the ice again on Thursday when they host the Orangeville Flyers.
