Gryphons Drop Home Opener
The Gryphons fell 7-3 to the Oakville Rangers Wednesday night in their home opener. After a 1-1 first that saw a Logan Morrison powerplay goal tie the game on a pass from Jakson Kirk, Oakville would pull away in the second period. Oakville would score 6 times in the second frame to extend their lead going into the third capitalizing on some Gryphons miscues.

The Gryphons responded positively in the third period adding two more goals. First Jakson Kirk took a Brett Allen pass and would score on a semi breakaway. Then late in the game call up Ethan Broderick would find Andrew Britton on the powerplay who made a great cross ice pass to Logan Morrison for his second goal of the game. Owen O'Donnell also chipped in with an assist.

Although it was not the start the Gryphons wanted there were positives to build on. The Gryphons are back in action on Sunday September 24th when they travel to Hamilton to face the Bulldogs.
