Gryphons Earn A Point On The Road
The Gryphons travelled to Hamilton last Sunday night for a game against the Bulldogs. The Gryphons had a good start to the game and Jack Harper would convert a Jakson Kirk pass for the first goal of the game to give the Gryphons an early lead. Despite several chances and powerplays the score would remain 1-0 until the second period.
The Bulldogs would get on the board to tie the game early in the second, finally beating Hayden Dunford. The Gryphons then got the powerplay to click before the intermission, when Joe Marra got a pass from Jack Harper in the slot and was able to get a shot through the screen to regain the lead. The third period saw numerous chances from the Gryphons but they could not find a way to get an insurance goal. Hamilton would then tie the game late, and Hayden Dunford stopped a last second breakaway to preserve the road point. Although the Gryphons wanted a win, they would have to settle for a hard earned road point. Zach Hatch and Caden Bower added assists.
