Minor Atom AE Clinch 1st Place With Victory Over Woolwich
The Guelph Gryphon Minor Atom AE clinched 1st place in the OMHA Round Robin Playdowns with a 12-3 victory over the Woowich Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.
Matthew Mainprize and Peyton Markwood paced the offence with five goals and a hat trick respectively. Milan Wilson had a big day as well, contributing five assists. The Gryphons were able to generate numerous scoring chances due to their unselfish passing throughout the game.
The Gryphons (6-0-0) continue with their round robin play on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Orangeville to battle the Flyers.
